Boron is one of the major micronutrient required by all plants exspecially fruiting and flowering plants , boron application is recomended in soils with low boron content to prevent early dropping and braking of fruits in fruiting plants ,soils with ph less than 4.8 and more than 8.0 , and more limestone content are prone to boron deficiency,soil tests are recomemded for such soils to check avialability of boron in soil, soils having boron less than 0.5 ppm are considered to be boron deficient soils.
